Building Financial Confidence

At We Own Our Crowns, we believe financial literacy is an important life skill that empowers young people to make informed decisions, set meaningful goals, and build a strong foundation for the future.

We were honored to welcome Mrs. Angela Sippio, who led an engaging workshop focused on financial responsibility, smart decision-making, and developing healthy money habits. Through thoughtful discussion and interactive activities, our participants explored the difference between needs and wants, the importance of saving versus spending, and how everyday financial choices can shape their future.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the $20 Challenge, where participants were asked to decide how they would spend—or save—a hypothetical $20 and explain the reasoning behind their choices. The activity encouraged critical thinking, thoughtful decision-making, and meaningful conversations about the value of money and planning ahead.
